The White Hart is not a ‘sword and sorcery’ series. There are no waving of magical wands or throwing of fireballs. All the events are based on mythologies, beliefs, or superstitions, if you will, held by folks of this time period. They touch on and delve into the shadowy world of man’s fears, the mysteries, and the ideas he held about the world around him. Men and women changing in and out of animal form, priests and priestesses becoming one with their gods, people with a sixth-sense or extra-ordinary abilities, predestination, and gods coming to earth to interfere with or intercede in the lives of men are all clear beliefs found in the historic and archeological records of many cultures world-wide and many are still held today.
